Last year at this time we were getting estimates to replace the windows in our house. Although our house was only 10 years old the windows weren’t the greatest and one had lost its seal. We got talked into replacing them all and we were happy with them. What we weren’t happy about is more money was being poured into the house and left us with less to enjoy.
Life Is Short
People ask us how we came to the decision to sell everything and be full time rv’ers, we thank the windows for that. It seemed to be our breaking point. Our “what are we doing?” Moment. Oh sure, we talked about traveling, but why wait another 5 years. Cliches abound, “it’s never too late”…..”life is short”. We felt all our money, time and energy was being spent on home maintenance.
Our New Ride!
So, on a cool fall day we found ourselves “window shopping” at a local RV sale and of course came away with a new 32ft foot coach. Our future plans had suddenly changed to the present. The past months have been spent putting our plan in motion, selling the house, purging, reading rv related blogs, buying rv related stuff, dreaming and planning. On the flip side of the coin it was also a very emotional time, ambivalence, fear and doubt were some of the many emotions felt during that transition.
